WRT by Daniel

For the last two days we have been on the Nantahala River working on SWR (Swift Water Rescue). The river wasn't really that cold, but we did have wet suits on. We learn some of the most amazing things about whitewater. I think the second day was the most fun for me! We did lots and lots of drills in the river. My favorite was when we did a mock accident. We were really able to put what we learned into effect.  I have really enjoyed working with all the OLD School students.  I think Spencer, Harry ,and Zach are some of the best teachers. I can't wait to see what the next river will be like!
We are about to take the test...

Today the guys head out for another river section.  Over the next 5 days they will travel from Tennessee to West Virginia paddling down some of the most intense rivers in the states.  Please pray for them as they travel and raft with Crocker and Caleb. This morning, the girls are getting ready for the Nantahala. Their next 5 days will be spent learning how to guide.  With the SRT fresh on their minds, I’m sure they’ll do great!  Please pray for their safety and progress as they pound out the next 5 days with Steph and Tanya.  Each evening this week these students will be in discipleship sessions.  Please pray for us as we prepare and teach.  It’s encouraging to see how much these students are hungry to grow in God.  Pray that they will stay focused and challenged as they paddle through these next 5 days.
