A Note from Harry...

Hello all ye’ faithful OLD School Blog readers, this is Harry giving you the up and up, and the low down on OLD School this summer.  As of now we have 74 students coming this summer, more than ever before.  We are super excited about this and I believe ready for the challenge.  A few months ago I was praying about this summer, which is now almost on top of us, and I was praying that God would bring lots of students to the OLD School program this summer.  I soon after got convicted that I was praying for success in numbers rather than success in the Gospel of Christ.  Since then I have prayed that God would still bring lots of students to OLD School this summer, but I have been praying that because I believe that students will clearly hear and be challenged by Scripture here at OLD School and Snowbird.
I ask that you would pray along side of us here that students would be challenged by Scripture, that God would speak into their lives, and that they would be literally FOREVER CHANGED by the Gospel.  This is a pretty big prayer request, but I have complete faith that a work of the Lord will lead to nothing other than eternal change.  Please pray for the staff that will be leading trips; they will be responsible for teaching sessions, counseling students, and the well-being of the entire group.  Pray that the leaders would be led by the Spirit in how they challenge students in their walk with the Lord.
We are really, super pumped about this summer.  I often feel inadequate or incapable of completing my tasks or responsibilities, both while leading trips, and while planning and organizing other trips.  But to be honest, I love that feeling because it means that I have to rely on the Lord to help me complete this work that is before me.  Please pray for me, that I would lean on the Holy Spirit in everything I do.  I would love to hear from some of you guys through the summer, so please feel free to email questions, encouragements, or anything to harryold@gmail.com.  Love you guys.

In Christ Alone,
Harry McSween
