semester courses:
Imagine immersing yourself in the wilderness for three months. Three months filled with backpacking, river guiding, sea kayaking, rock climbing. Three months to focus on Christ, on growth in the Spirit, on fellowship with the Body. A full semester of outdoor adventure, education, discipleship, and service for college-aged guys and girls (18-25 years old).
Each semester is broken up into several different "sections" of outdoor travel, skills/certification, or missions and outreach that range from five days to over two weeks in length. Often, you will be deep in the woods for the duration of your particular section. Other times, your section may be based at SWO, spending each day out learning, playing, or practicing skills, and each night here at camp. This is a life-changing semester beginning in the mountains of North Carolina, and ending in the heat of Central America.
